(261009) -- CHENGDU, Oct. 9, 2026 (Xinhua) -- An aerial drone photo taken on Dec. 25, 2024 shows clouds at Jiajin Mountain in southwest China's Sichuan Province. The year 2026 marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March. Sichuan became closely tied to the Red Army's activities from 1935 to 1936. During the Long March, the Red Army crossed the Jinsha River, formed the Yihai Alliance, fought their way across the Dadu River, seized the Luding Bridge, scaled snow-capped mountains and traversed grasslands, and continued their march northward to victory.
